Anroc Apiaries is proud to present our new variety harvested this season, Hakea.

Hakea (Hakea epiglottis) known as Beaked Hakea or Needlebush Hakea is endemic to Tasmania. Found in the rugged highlands, our beekeepers were able to successfully monitor hives where the Beaked Hakea flowered and in turn harvest some of the most beautiful and decadent honey Tasmania has to offer.

Rich and incredibly creamy, the scent of Hakea has hints of warm vanilla and is as inviting as baked goods fresh out of the oven. Medium in colour with a deep ginger tint, this honey is as delicious as it looks. With a full-bodied caramel flavour and zingy aftertaste, Hakea is reserved for the finest of experiences and is to be treasured amongst close friends.

This variety is as unique as they come and you won’t want to miss out on.

We harvest our honey and immediately return it to our commercial kitchen in Sassafras to spin, pour and pack. No heat treatment and only course filtered once means you experience Tasmania’s honey in its purest and finest form, Raw. Our honey varieties are collected from the Tasmanian Wilderness across rolling lands from Strahan to Smithton seasonally. Please note, what is available this season may not be the next.
